The Adamawa State Police Command has announced its Special Protection Unit (SPU) operatives will conduct a one-day live shooting range exercise on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

The announcement issued by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relations Officer for the Adamawa State Command, on Friday disclosed that the training is scheduled to take place at the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Base, along Mubi Road in Girei Local Government Area, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Command is urging residents, particularly those in areas like Nas Radio Station, Sangere FUTY, and Federal Housing Hayin Gada, to stay clear of the area during the exercise.

The statement also urged locals to not panic at the sound of gunshots, as they are part of the scheduled training.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, expressed appreciation to the law-abiding people of Adamawa State for their understanding and cooperation.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property within the state.
