Ahmed Musa Vows to Reposition Kano Pillars FC

Kano Pillars FC General Manager and Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has pledged to restore the club’s pride of place and reposition it as one of Africa’s most prestigious football institutions.

Speaking during a familiarisation meeting on Monday with the Club Chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, and members of the Board, Musa expressed deep commitment to reviving the club’s legacy and elevating it to new global heights.

According to the Media & Communications Directorate of Kano Pillars FC, the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow star reiterated that the time has come to diligently rebuild and globalise the four-time Nigerian champions.

Musa emphasised his readiness to collaborate with stakeholders both within and beyond Nigeria, drawing on his vast international experience and deep understanding of Nigerian football.

He said these insights would serve as critical tools to drive the club’s transformation.

“Kano Pillars is our club and one of the most successful in Nigeria, but in recent years, the story has changed,” Musa said.

“With the support of the Board and everyone involved, I will do everything within my capacity to reposition this club and make it one of the finest not only in Africa but globally.

Having played here and in Europe, I know what is needed, and I am committed to delivering it.”

Musa also noted that the club’s success will depend on unity of purpose, strategic planning, and unwavering commitment from management, players, fans, and partners alike.

It will be recalled that the Kano State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, appointed Ahmed Musa as General Manager as part of broader reforms to reposition the club in line with international best practices.
