The Commander of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmed Tukur, has reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to inter-agency collaboration in sustaining peace and security across Kano State.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Captain Babatunde Zubairu, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 3 Brigade Nigerian Army, Kano, Friday, October 17, 2025.
while receiving the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, Mr Bala Bawa Bodinga, and the Commandant of the Nigerian Customs Training College, Deputy Comptroller Umar Atiku, during courtesy visits to the Brigade Headquarters in Kano.
Brigadier General Tukur stressed that synergy among security agencies was vital for effective intelligence sharing, coordination, and swift response to emerging threats.
“I am pleased to receive our colleagues from the NSCDC and Customs today. Your proactive engagement reinforces the strong tradition of collaboration among security agencies in Kano,” he said.
He assured the visitors that the Nigerian Army would maintain a high operational tempo to keep Kano peaceful and business-friendly.
“We remain committed to supporting sister agencies whenever the need arises,” he added.
In his remarks, Mr Bodinga appreciated the Army’s support and pledged continued cooperation in addressing security challenges.
“We look forward to building stronger cooperation and partnership with the Nigerian Army in the collective pursuit of peace and security,” he said.
Similarly, Deputy Comptroller Atiku emphasised the importance of inter-agency collaboration in advancing national security and capacity building.
He noted that the visit aligned with the Comptroller-General’s policy of consolidation, collaboration, and innovation, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The visit ended with renewed commitments from all parties to strengthen institutional relations and sustain peace and stability across Kano State.
