Bauchi Commences Vaccination of Pilgrims for 2024 Hajj

Bauch State Executive Secretary for Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, has announced the commencement of the state’s Hajj pilgrim vaccination exercise.

The announcement follows Imam Abdurrahman’s visit to the state’s medical store to assess the readiness of the Primary Health Care Agency for the exercise.

The vaccination program, initially scheduled to begin on May 10th, has been postponed due to a delay in the delivery of vaccines.

The new itinerary outlines a three-day vaccination schedule at the Bauchi Specialist Hospital (BACAS) from May 11th to 13th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This will cover Bauchi Local Government intending pilgrims, Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) participants, and Board and Government-sponsored pilgrims.

Following the Bauchi Specialist Hospital schedule, vaccines will be distributed to all General Hospitals across the state for the convenience of pilgrims in various local governments, starting from May 12th.

Imam Abdurrahman emphasized that the vaccination program adheres to the health requirements set by Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrims.
