Governor of Bauchi State Sen. Abdulkadir Bala Mohammed, alongside Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, on Tuesday decorated 92 newly promoted police officers with their new ranks.
Among the promoted officers is the command’s public relations officer (PPRO), CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who was decorated with his new rank by the governor.
The decoration ceremony took place at the State Headquarters, Yandoka Road, while that of the PPRO took place at the Government House, Bauchi.
The governor commended CSP Wakil for his resilience and dedication to duty, saying, “Your promotion is a testament to your hard work and commitment to serving the people of Bauchi State.”
CSP Wakil expressed his gratitude to the governor and the CP, promising to redouble his efforts in serving the state.
CP Auwal Musa Mohammed congratulated the promoted officers, charging them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, integrity, and transparency in their duties.
“Your promotion comes with greater responsibility, and I expect you to continue serving with excellence,” he said.
The promoted officers include SP Mohammed Goni, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Soro; SP David Silas, Officer In-charge of the Works department; DSP Amiru Garba Ahmed, Officer in charge of the Gender section; and ASP Idriss Kumo, Admin Officer in the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), among others.
