Bauchi Governor Bala Vows to Support Independent Judiciary Operations

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has pledged to create an impartial and obstacle-free operating environment for the judiciary.

During the swearing-in ceremony of six High Court judges and fifteen Khadis of the Shari’a Court of Appeal, Governor Bala emphasized the importance of the judiciary in ensuring the security and stability of Bauchi state.

He assured that his administration has taken deliberate steps to provide necessary resources, including vehicles, to prevent delays in court cases.

Governor Bala emphasized his commitment to non-interference in the activities of the judiciary, including appointments, promotions, and disciplinary actions. He commended the State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Rabi Talatu, for her dedication and forward-thinking approach and promised to support her and other judicial officers in their work.

The Governor also highlighted the need for collaboration between the executive and judiciary to decongest prisons and promote development.

Addressing the newly appointed judges and Khadis, Governor Bala urged them to cooperate with his administration and fulfill their official responsibilities without personal interests. He expressed confidence in their competence and encouraged them to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with the upcoming generation.
