Bauchi Governor Launches 6-Year World Bank Supported Livestock Project

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has inaugurated a committee to oversee the Six-Year World Bank Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project.

The committee’s mandate includes modernizing veterinary clinics and abattoirs to bolster the state’s economy.

Governor Mohammed emphasized his administration’s dedication to transforming businesses and attracting both local and foreign investors to benefit the citizens.

Expressing gratitude to the World Bank and the Federal Government for choosing Bauchi as a beneficiary state, Governor Bala pledged unwavering support and urged continued collaboration to ensure the project’s success.

Professor Simon Madugu Yalams, the committee’s chairman and Commissioner of Agriculture, lauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his visionary leadership in transforming the agricultural sector.

Yalams affirmed his commitment to working closely with stakeholders to ensure the project’s effective implementation. He also highlighted the state government’s initiatives aimed at modernizing input storage to enhance food security.
