Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Monday leads the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government aimed at enhancing healthcare services in the state.
Governor Mohammed praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to bolstering healthcare by establishing additional Teaching Hospitals during a meeting with a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, who were visiting Bauchi for a facility tour.
Expressing satisfaction with the elevation of the Federal Medical Centre Azare to Teaching Hospital status and Misau General Hospital to Federal Medical Centre, Governor Mohammed affirmed his administration’s commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders to advance the healthcare sector.
He reiterated the government’s determination to improve various aspects of healthcare delivery, including nutrition services.
The leader of the visiting delegation, Dr. Salahudden Olawole Jimoh, Director of Teaching Hospitals at the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, stated that their visit was to assess the proposed centers in Azare and Misau.
Dr. Jimoh commended Governor Mohammed for the strides made in upgrading healthcare facilities across the state and assured him of the Federal Government’s continued support.
