The Bauchi State Government has approved the purchase and distribution of food items worth millions of naira to Christian communities across the state in celebration of Christmas.
 
Mr. Abdon Dalla Gin, Chairman of the Standing Committee for the Distribution of the Items, announced that the gesture reflects the government’s commitment to fostering inclusivity among religious groups in the state.
 
“The government, under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, has demonstrated its commitment to the well-being of all citizens, irrespective of their religious beliefs,” Mr. Gin told journalists in Bauchi.
 
He revealed that the distributed items include 77 bulls, 139 rams, 1500 bags of rice, and 178 jerricans of vegetable oil.
 
Mr. Gin commended Governor Bala Mohammed for this kind gesture and urged Christian faithful to reciprocate by supporting the policies and programs of his administration.
 
He noted that chairmen of the 20 local government areas in the state are also providing additional assistance to Christians in their respective domains, complementing the state government’s initiative.
 
Mr. Gin called upon Christians to use the occasion of the Christmas and New Year celebrations to pray for the continued success of the Governor Bala Mohammed-led administration and the overall progress of Bauchi State.
