Bauchi Police Deploy Personnel, Restrict Vehicular Movement for LGA Poll

The Bauchi State Police Command has announced the deployment of adequate personnel and restrictions on vehicular movement to ensure public safety during the upcoming Local Government Councillor Election on August 17, 2024.
 
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the Command has collaborated with other security agencies to strategically deploy personnel across key locations in the state to prevent disruptions during the election.
 
To maintain public order and prevent potential disturbances, vehicular movement will be restricted from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, with exemptions for essential services such as medical personnel, journalists, and emergency services.
 
The Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, calls on parents, traditional rulers, religious leaders, opinion leaders, and guardians to encourage their wards and subjects not to be used for disturbances before, during, and after the election. 
 
The Command clearly warns all criminal elements in the state to desist from any activities that threaten the safety and security of the state, as law enforcement agencies will not hesitate to confront and neutralise violators under the law.
 
The Command reiterates that it’s committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and urges the public to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station.
