A delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Biu Local Government paid a Sallah homage to Ambassador Tukur Yusuf Buratai, former Chief of Army Staff, during his Eid visit to Biu.

The Deputy Governor of Borno State, Umar Usman Kadafur, who could not attend because of receiving condolences over the death of his elder brother, the Kadafur of Biu Emirate, was represented by Hon. Yakubu Kimba.

Hon. Kimba conveyed Eid greetings and expressed gratitude for Buratai’s contributions to the region. 

He also condoled the ambassador over the death of the Kadafur of Biu.

He described Buratai as “a true elder statesman” committed to Biu’s development. Kimba also offered condolences on the passing of Alhaji Aliyu Usman Kadafur.

Ambassador Buratai thanked the delegation and reaffirmed his support for the APC administration at local, state, and federal levels, emphasizing the importance of unity.

The delegation included the Biu Local Government Chairman, Councillors, party officials, elders, and other community leaders. The visit highlighted the strong relationship between Biu’s leadership and Ambassador Buratai.
