The Borno State Police Command has conducted a sanitation exercise and free medical outreach in Maiduguri as part of its National Police Day activities.
This is contained in a statement issued by ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, Police Public Relations Officer for the Borno State Command.
According to the statement, the procession Led by Commissioner of Police CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal focused on cleaning areas from the Post Office to Monday Market, aiming to promote environmental cleanliness and strengthen ties between the police and the community.

Following the sanitation effort, the command provided free medical services to residents, demonstrating its commitment to community welfare.

The event saw participation from the General Manager of the Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA), Mallam Abubakar Sulaiman; community leaders; and members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).
The command emphasised that the initiative highlights its dedication to public service, environmental sustainability, and community health.
