The Borno State Government has donated advanced musical instruments to the Police Band in Maiduguri, enhancing their capacity to perform and serve the state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Bukar Tijjani, representing Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, presented the instruments to Commissioner of Police, CP Yusufu Lawan, at a brief ceremony at the Musa Usman Secretariat in Maiduguri.

CP Lawan expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum, acknowledging the essential role of the Police Band in image-making and community engagement.

He highlighted their multifaceted functions, including official performances, entertainment, and social events.

The Commissioner noted that while the Police Band and instruments were already in place, they required reinforcement to enhance their performance and service to the state.

This donation reflects the Borno State Government’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and promoting community policing initiatives.”
