The Borno State Police Command has apprehended several suspects in connection with various criminal offenses. Among those arrested is Sukiyal Adamu, who allegedly murdered his grandfather with a hoe in Kwaya-kusar Local Government Area on July 7, 2024.
According to ASP Kenneth Daso, the suspect will face charges in court following a thorough investigation. In a separate incident, a woman was arrested for fatally attacking her husband in Chibok town after a domestic dispute. She has confessed to the crime, citing emotional distress after her husband assaulted her child.
Nine additional suspects were also paraded for various offenses, including culpable homicide, vandalism, theft of public property, criminal intimidation, and drug-related crimes.
Recovered exhibits include a hoe, an axe, drugs, and stolen property.
ASP Daso warned criminals to desist from their illegal activities, emphasizing the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order in Borno State.
The police reassured the public of their dedication to ensuring safety and security in the region.
