Borno Police Command Commences Refresher Training for Personnel

The Borno State Police Command has begun an in-house refresher training program for its personnel, following a directive from the Inspector General of Police to enhance capacity building.

This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, Police Public Relations Officer for the Borno State Command.

According to Daso’s statement, the initiative aims to boost efficiency, competence, and professionalism within the force, ultimately improving police service delivery in Borno State.

The training program, which will be conducted on a continued basis, will ensure officers are up-to-date with best practices for quality service and accountability.

The curriculum covers key areas such as the Police Code of Conduct, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), Fundamental Human Rights, Police Professional Studies, and other crucial aspects of modern policing.

This program demonstrates the Command’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and effective service delivery.

“This initiative aims to improve efficiency, competence, and professionalism within the force, ensuring a renewed and reoriented workforce dedicated to enhancing police service delivery in Borno State,” stated ASP Daso.
