Borno Police Honour Retiring Senior Officers For Service

The Borno State Police Command, on December 1, 2025, honoured two retiring senior officers for their “outstanding service, professionalism and dedication” to the Nigeria Police Force.

The formal recognition marks the official retirement of ACP Benjamin Igometi and SP Lucky Akpobasa.

ACP Benjamin Igometi, formerly the Commander of the 73 Police Mobile Force (PMF) in Magumeri, was recognised for his “meritorious service” and “exceptional leadership”.

His contributions were noted both domestically and during foreign missions.

Similarly, SP Lucky Akpobasa, the former Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Bulumkutu Division, was commended for his “professionalism, effective administrative leadership”, and “strong community policing initiatives” that significantly enhanced public trust and safety.

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, praised both officers for their distinguished careers.

He encouraged serving personnel to “emulate their discipline, commitment and integrity.”

The Command concluded by wishing the retirees well and appreciating their “lasting contributions to policing in Borno State”.
