The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) has announced the sudden demise of its President, Hajiya Lami Adamu Lau, in the early hours of Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

According to reports, Hajiya Lau, a renowned champion of women’s empowerment, passed away after a brief illness. She was 62 years old.

Hailing from Lau Local Government in Taraba State, Hajiya Lau was a dedicated leader and wife of business mogul, Alhaji Adamu Lau.

The NCWS has described her as a shining example of dedication and service to humanity, whose impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Her tireless efforts and contributions to the betterment of society will never be forgotten, the organization said.

Hajiya Lau will be laid to rest today, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in her hometown of Lau, Taraba State, in accordance with Islamic rites.

The NCWS has extended its condolences to her family, friends, and all members of the organization, praying for the strength and grace to bear this irreparable loss.
