Nigeria brace yourself! The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), along with the Trade Union Congress (TUC), has announced an indefinite nationwide strike starting at Monday 3rd June 2024.

This drastic action comes after failed negotiations with the federal government regarding two key issues: A new, higher national minimum wage, reversal of the recent hike in electricity tariffs

NLC President Joe Ajaero addressed the media at a press conference in Abuja, explaining the unions’ decision.
