COAS Evaluates Troops, Pledges Increased Support in Kaduna

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has pledged increased support for troops’ training after evaluating ongoing exercises at the Nigerian Army Training Centre in Kachia, Kaduna State.

This was disclosed by Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, in a statement on Thursday, March 3, 2025.

According to the statement During his visit, General Oluyede emphasised the importance of training as a core element of his command philosophy, stating that it is “a panacea for operational effectiveness and optimisation.”

He stressed that only well-trained personnel can perform optimally in operational deployments.

Addressing the officers and soldiers at the training centre, the COAS urged them to remain focused and dedicated, applying their newly acquired skills in the field.

He commended the training team for their efficiency and pledged to provide more support to the centre to ensure the production of well-trained soldiers for the Nigerian Army.

“He charged the soldiers to remain disciplined and professional to justify the huge investment in their training,” said Major General Nwachukwu.
