CP Applauds Officers’ Integrity for Malamfatori Resident’s N23.6M Gold Recovery

The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Police Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, has commended the Divisional Police Officer of Mallamfatori Division and his team for recovering gold valuables worth ₦23.6 million belonging to a female resident of the community.

The commendation was contained in a statement issued on 1 December 2025 by ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, Police Public Relations Officer, Borno State Command.

According to the statement, the woman had fled Mallamfatori 15 years ago during a Boko Haram attack and recently returned to seek police assistance in locating items she buried while escaping. 

Through coordinated efforts, officers recovered 22 cc of gold valued at ₦20 million and a gold bracelet with a chain worth ₦3.6 million.

CP Abdulmajid praised the officers for their integrity and professionalism, noting that their conduct “reflects the core values of the Nigeria Police Force and strengthens public confidence in law enforcement.”

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property and urged residents to continue cooperating with the police to improve security across the state.
