Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa State has provided a total of three million naira to the families of three police officers who tragically lost their lives while on duty in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area, on December 29, 2024.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, issued this in a statement on Monday, April 14, 2025.
The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, presented the cash donation of one million naira to each of the bereaved families on behalf of the governor.

CP Shetima conveyed heartfelt condolences from the governor and the Inspector-General of Police, urging the beneficiaries to utilise the funds wisely for their families’ welfare.
“This gesture from His Excellency underscores the state government’s commitment to the well-being of our dedicated security personnel and their families during such difficult times,” CP Shetima stated during the presentation.
He also lauded Governor Sule for his consistent support and compassion, emphasising the positive impact such generosity has on the morale of officers serving in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the families, Mrs Sadiq Khadijat expressed deep gratitude to Governor Sule for the thoughtful gesture and assured that the funds would be managed responsibly.
