Gombe-based Doma United FC, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), were involved in a autocrash on Monday while returning from their away match against Heartland FC in Owerri. 
 
The accident occurred along the Makurdi-Lafia road. Thankfully, there were no fatalities, but several players sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Reports indicate the team bus somersaulted during the incident. 

This crash casts doubt on Doma United’s ability to play their upcoming match against Sunshine Stars FC of Akure, scheduled for Thursday at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. 

Efforts to reach out to the club’s authorities proved abortive at the time of press.
