EFCC Parleys Security Agencies, other Stakeholders in Maiduguri

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr Ola Olukoyede has called on the Borno State Security agencies to continue to partner with the Commission to tackle the menace of corruption more frontally in Nigeria.

Olukoyede gave the charge on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Maiduguri through the Acting Zonal Director, Maiduguri Command, Aisha A.T Habib while on a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command,  heads of Department of Security Service, Northeast Development Commission and Borno Geographic Information Service respectively.

According to him, the visits were meant to strengthen the existing and cordial working relationship the agencies have enjoyed over the years.

In her remark, Habib reiterated the Commission’s unwavering support and commitment to partner with the head of agencies in the fight against economic and financial crimes in Borno and the country at large. ”for us to achieve our mandate, we must work together for the betterment of Nigeria”.

The heads of agencies,  in their remarks,  applauded the EFCC and equally stated that the Commission has rekindled the hope of Nigerians for growth and development while urging it to sustain the tempo.
