The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed personnel and operational assets to ensure a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement on Saturday, disclosed that Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris has directed increased security measures across the state.

“All Area Commanders, Tactical teams and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to intensify security arrangements within their Areas of Responsibility (AoRs),” the police announced.

The deployment targets Eid grounds, event centres, markets, and recreational areas.

The police have also increased patrols, stop-and-search operations, and surveillance. They are collaborating with other security agencies.

Traffic and crowd control personnel are deployed to manage congestion.

CP Morris urged officers to be professional and public-friendly. He called on the public to report suspicious activities.

“The Adamawa State Police Command wishes all Muslim faithful a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration,” said SP Nguroje.
