Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori has launched a series of high-level meetings with key stakeholders in Kano, aiming to bolster security ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
CP Bakori, in a statement released by Police Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, emphasised inter-agency cooperation as paramount.
On Tuesday, Bakori visited Controller of Correctional Service Ado Inuwa and, on Wednesday, met with Group Captain M. Sulaiman of the 455 Base Services Group, Nigerian Air Force Kano.
“I am committed to building on the existing cordial relationships amongst security agencies in Kano State,” Bakori stated.
“I seek your support and cooperation in our shared mission to protect life and property.”
Both the Air Force and Correctional Service heads pledged their full support. Additionally, Bakori received Hajia Hadiza Abubakar Bakori, the 47th Chairperson of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), who sought collaboration on welfare programmes.

“We congratulate the Commissioner on his appointment and seek guidance and cooperation,” Hajia Bakori stated.
The meetings concluded with symbolic exchanges, reinforcing commitments to a peaceful Kano.
