Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has urged Muslims to continue their dedication to the worship of Allah beyond the Ramadan period.
The governor made this call in his Eid-el-Fitr message, released through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
Governor Bago congratulated the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan and the Eid celebration, reminding them that the teachings of the Quran and Hadith, emphasising peace, love, discipline, and humility, should be a lifelong practice.
“The worship of Allah is not only observed during the Ramadan fast but for life,” the governor stated.
He highlighted that Eid-el-Fitr is a celebration of love, charity to the less privileged, and peaceful coexistence.
He called on Muslims to use the occasion to pray for enduring peace in Nigeria and Niger State and for leaders to serve selflessly.

Governor Bago reiterated his commitment to building a “New Niger” where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
