….Thanks President Tinubu and VP Shettima for support to Borno

As the Muslim Ummah celebrates Eid Al-Adha across the globe, the Acting Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur, felicitated with the Muslim community in Borno State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, recalling the virtues of sacrifice and devotion embedded in the Eid festivity.

Acting Gov Kadafur appreciated the good people of Borno for their resilience and unwavering faith in the Government of Borno State under the purposeful leadership of Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum which has positively impacted their lives through numerous people-oriented projects across the state.

The Acting Gov said: “This year’s Eid celebration is marked by calmness and tranquility, compared to the turbulence of the recent past. The people of Borno have endured the pain and tribulations as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency, which has led to humanitarian disaster, especially internal displacement, collapse of infrastructure and decimation of our peoples’ way of life. However, our people have also shown resilience and toughness in the wave of violence and hopelessness. At long last, Borno is undergoing steady restoration through concerted effort of the government and the support of our people.”

In the same vein, the Acting Governor appreciatesld the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for steering the ship of Nigeria in the right direction. He extolled the indelible footprints of the Tinubu administration in restoring Nigeria’s developmental trajectory, and in giving Nigerians a Renewed Hope. He also appreciated His Excellency, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima for “coming home” and joining the good the people of Borno to celebrate the Eid inspite his tight schedules.

The Acting Governor extended his appreciation to the military and security agencies in the state for the gallant and valiant work of defending Nigeria’s territory, enforcing law and order, and safeguarding the life and property of the people.

Similarly, His Excellency appreciated the Shehu of Borno and all Royal Fathers in the state for always supporting government policies and programs, and for standing firmly on the side of peaceful coexistence and cultural unity, while also appreciating our Imams and clergymen for always providing spiritual guidance to the people.

His Excellency, Umar Kadafur, wished Borno contingent to 2024 Hajj, including the Executive Governor of Borno, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, productive devotion and safe trip back home. He prayed that Allah accepts their acts of worship and supplications. He also enjoined them to intensify prayers for the peace, security and development of the state.
