The competition is part of the council’s efforts to promote youth and sports development under the leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.

“It’s time for all young, talented players in the state to come out and display their skills and talent, as well as teamwork,” said Innocent Michael Umoru, Acting Technical Director of the Borno State Sports Council, during a meeting at the Football Association office.

All football coaches under the council are instructed to submit their players’ lists for screening ahead of the competition’s draw on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024.
