In a bid to address the concerns of protesters, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his cabinet met with demonstrators in Yola on the second day of protests. 

The Governor, represented by SSG Hon. Auwal Tukur, listened to the protesters’ grievances and acknowledged the legitimacy of their demands.

Governor Fintiri called on the federal government to reassess its policies to alleviate the current hardship. 

The meeting set a positive tone for continued dialogue and collaboration, paving the way for meaningful reforms and progress in the state.

Protest leaders, Comrade Abdullahi Isa and Daniel Godwin, appealed to the federal government to reinstate fuel subsidies and address hunger. 

They commended Governor Fintiri for his laudable programs in the state and assured that they would ensure peaceful protests without the destruction of properties.
