Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State commissioned a new sixty-bed cottage hospital in Demsa town as part of his vision to transform the health sector.
This is the first secondary health facility in the headquarters of Demsa Local Government Area since its creation in 1991. Governor Fintiri emphasized his administration’s commitment to healthcare service delivery and disease control.
He also announced plans to establish cottage hospitals in each of the 21 local government areas of Adamawa in line with the national healthcare policy.
The state government has made significant investments in the health sector, including world-class laboratories, dialysis centres, hospitals, and clinics.
Hon. Kate Mamuno, the member representing Demsa in the State House of Assembly, expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for the various projects executed in her constituency.
Chief Felix Tamgwami, the Commissioner of Health and Human Services, commended Governor Fintiri for his swift responses in containing
Emerging diseases such as Lassa Fever and measles in the state.
