Fintiri Flaggs Off Construction of Ultra-Modern Int’l Sports Complex in Yola

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has flagged off the construction of the first phase of the long-awaited International Sports Complex in Yola.

The project, envisioned to be ultra-modern, was previously abandoned by past administrations.

Governor Fintiri highlighted the importance of the complex for youth development and the overall sports landscape in the state.

He emphasized that the completed facility will provide a platform to nurture young talent and foster a strong sporting culture.

The Governor also acknowledged the potential economic benefits associated with the sports industry and called for private-sector investment to further enhance the project’s impact.

The construction, undertaken by Aron Nigeria Limited, is estimated to cost N4.7 billion and is expected to be completed within 15 months.

The initiative has been praised by the coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, who commended its potential to empower young people and benefit the nation as a whole.
