Fintiri Hosts Cabinet for Ramadan Iftar, Calls for Unity, Prayers

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri hosted members of the Adamawa State Executive Council (SEC) for an Iftar, the breaking of fast, in Yola on Monday evening.

The event, held at the Government House, saw commissioners and top government officials join the governor in observing the Ramadan tradition.

Governor Fintiri used the occasion to emphasise the importance of unity, reflection, and service to humanity during Ramadan. 

He urged his administration to remain dedicated to the development of Adamawa State.

“This is a time for us to come together, reflect on our duties, and renew our commitment to serving the people of Adamawa State,” Governor Fintiri stated. 

“Let us continue to work with dedication and purpose.”

He also called for prayers for peace, security, and prosperity in Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole. “We must pray for our state and our nation,” he said. “May peace and prosperity prevail.”

The gathering featured prayers where clerics reminded attendees of the blessings of Ramadan and the need for leaders to uphold justice and fairness in governance.

The Iftar gathering is an annual tradition for Governor Fintiri, aimed at fostering inclusivity and strengthening government-community relations during Ramadan.
