A fire outbreak at an MRS filling station in Batchure Junction, along Numan Road in Adamawa State, on Tuesday night engulfed two petrol tankers.
The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, on Tuesday.
While confirming the incident, the command stated that it has commenced an investigation into the matter.
“The Adamawa State Police Command has begun an investigation into the fire incident that affected the MRS filling station at Batchure Junction, along Numan Road tonight,” the statement read.
“The immediate response from the command’s operational unit and the firefighters brought the fire under control.”
The statement added that there were no reported casualties in the incident.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), while welcoming any useful information that will aid the investigation, also assured the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the state,” the statement concluded.
