The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has dispatched relief materials to Borno State to aid in the flood disaster affecting Maiduguri.
The agency has sent an electric boat and life jackets to assist in rescue operations and the safe transportation of people stranded by the rising floodwaters.
In a statement released by the SEMA spokesperson, the agency expressed its condolences to the Borno State government and the people affected by the floods. “Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted by this disaster,” the statement said.
The electric boat and life jackets are expected to play a crucial role in the rescue efforts, providing a means of transportation in areas that are inaccessible by land.
Yobe State SEMA has pledged its continued support to Borno State during this challenging time and has called on all citizens to pray for the safety and well-being of those affected by the floods.
