Gara Donga to Lead Taraba’s Christian Pilgrims to Israel

HRH Amb. Sanvala Shinbura II, the Gara Donga is to lead Taraba Stateโ€™s delegation of Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land of Israel.

In a press statement released by the Office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Yusuf Sanda released on Thursday in Jalingo, stressed that, the traditional ruler is to be accompanied by some of his counterparts, HRH. Abubakar Theophilus Amada, the Chief of Kungana and HRH. Haniel Hinlewini Banti, the Kpan Sanwi.

Speaking with the Executive Secretary, Christians Pilgrims Welfare Board, Taraba State, Mrs Cecelia Ashy, said the decision of traditional leaders to lead delegation to Holy Land is taken based on leadership qualities expected of them with fear of God.

Ashu reiterated that the traditional leaders are Christians and their is need to rule with the fear of God, adding that no fewer than 163 pilgrims have been sponsored to the Holy Land by Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas.

She stressed that the presence of traditional leaders to Holy Land is an added advantage, as they pray for the peace and ask God to give them wisdom to lead their chiefdom in accordance.

She advised the participants for the 2024 pilgrims to Holy land to conduct themselves and ensure discipline is key to whatever mission they embarked upon, especially the journey to the Holy Land.
