Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has warmly welcomed the appointment of CP Bello Shehu, as the new Commissioner of Police for the Katsina State Command.

Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs) of the Gombe State Government House, released the statement on March 25, 2025.

Governor Yahaya described CP Shehu as “an illustrious son of Gombe and a thoroughbred cop,” praising his distinguished career.

“His elevation is a source of immense pride for us,” the governor stated, “and reflects the state’s commitment to excellence and the nurturing of leaders who make significant contributions to national development.”

He expressed confidence that CP Shehu’s tenure in Katsina would be marked by continued excellence and impactful contributions to fostering peace, aligning with national objectives of stability and the well-being of Nigerians.

“Given his extensive experience and steadfast commitment to upholding law and order, we are certain he will excel in this new role,” Governor Yahaya said.

The governor assured the new Katsina CP of the full support and solidarity of the people of Gombe State. “We are proud of his achievements,” Governor Yahaya emphasised.

“His success brings immense pride to our entire state.
