Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has completed the new headquarters of the Gombe State Security, Traffic, and Environmental Corps (GOSTEC).
According to a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Governors DG of Press Affairs, in a statement on Tuesday, the GOSTEC, established by Governor Yahaya, plays a crucial role in maintaining law and order and regulating traffic within the state.
“With the completion of this permanent headquarters, GOSTEC is now better equipped to execute its mandate effectively,” a statement said.
The new headquarters provides a fully functional administrative and operational base for the agency, enabling it to coordinate its operations more efficiently.
“This development demonstrates the governor’s commitment to institutionalising security reforms and improving public safety in Gombe State,” the statement added.
The establishment and expansion of GOSTEC align with Governor Yahaya’s vision of strengthening security architecture and ensuring a peaceful and well-organised state.
