In a bid to promote equity, transparency, and efficiency in the distribution of farming inputs, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has approved the immediate constitution of the Gombe State Fertiliser Distribution Committee for the 2025 farming season.
The move, announced in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs
Government House, Gombe, was issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.
The committee is charged with overseeing the fair and accountable distribution of fertiliser to farmers across all local government areas, ensuring that genuine beneficiariesโparticularly smallholder farmersโreceive timely and adequate support.
The SSG noted that the committee draws members from critical government institutions, civil society organisations, and security agencies to ensure a multi-stakeholder approach.

The committee is expected to commence work immediately, ahead of the peak of the farming season.
