The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) and the Gombe State Due Process Office have pledged to deepen collaboration in enhancing digital procurement systems across the nation.
According to Zira Zakka Nagga, Head of Public Relations (BPP), on Monday, 24th March, 2025, the partnership emerged during a working visit by the Director-General of Gombe State Due Process to the BPP headquarters in Abuja.
Engr. Mohammed Dauda Abubakar, DG Gombe State Due Process, highlighted the state’s innovative approach to procurement, showcasing newly developed digital applications designed to streamline processes.
“Our visit is to share our vision and experiences with the BPP, particularly regarding our digital advancements,” Engr. Abubakar stated.
He demonstrated a website platform that provides transparency on contract and project execution within Gombe State, along with a mobile application and a dashboard for comprehensive oversight.

“We have developed a mobile app and a dashboard to control both the website and include an interactive section for easy assessment and linkage to view different projects across different states,” he explained.
“We are aiming to correct past procurement irregularities by integrating the latest technology.”
Dr Adebowale A. Adedokun, Director-General of BPP, commended Gombe State’s initiative, suggesting a national-level advocacy visit to the Gombe State Governor, State Council, and House of Assembly to further promote the new procurement processes.
“There is need for BPP…to pay an advocacy visit to the Gombe State Governor,” Dr Adebowale said. He also praised the Gombe team’s indigenous innovation, noting its potential application in community-based procurement and nationwide project monitoring.
“The laudable innovation done by the indigenous team of Gombe State could be adopted and put into effective use,” he stated.
“BPP is also working on a portal to view all happenings in the country, and this collaboration can be very effective.”
Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to fostering digital procurement, promising to deepen their collaboration for the benefit of the nation.
