The Gombe State Government has announced a change to its monthly sanitation schedule, postponing the usual March exercise to accommodate Ramadan observances and Eid-el-Fitr preparations.

This decision allows residents to focus on religious activities and family gatherings without the distraction of community cleanup.

“We understand the importance of this period,” a government official stated, “and we want to ensure our citizens can fully participate in their spiritual and festive celebrations.”

While the formal exercise is postponed, residents are still encouraged to maintain cleanliness in their homes and surroundings.

“Hygiene remains crucial, even during celebrations,” the official added. “We urge everyone to do their part in keeping Gombe clean.”

The government’s move reflects a consideration for the cultural and religious needs of its people, aiming to foster a sense of community during these important times.
