Gombe SEMA Assessing Damage After EndBadGovernance

Officials from the Ministry of Works and Housing and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) have begun assessing properties damaged during the recent #EndBadGovernance protests, which turned violent in the state capital.

The assessment, ordered by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, aims to determine the extent of damage and enable the state government to provide assistance to affected individuals.

A team led by Commissioner of Works and Housing, Engr. Usman Mai Jama’a Kallamu, and SEMA Executive Secretary, Haruna Abdullahi Haruna, visited affected areas, including the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Bima Lodge, Kumbiya-Kumbiya PHC, Blue Jay Motor Park, and the Gombe Main Market.

Governor Yahaya had earlier visited the affected areas, calling for calm and urging citizens to resume their normal activities, assuring them of adequate security and safety.

The assessment is ongoing, with a full report expected to be submitted to the Governor for prompt action.
