Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sworn in Alhaji Hamajumba Gatugel as the new Commissioner of Transport for the state.
Gatugel was sworn in at a ceremony held at the Government House Council Chambers in Yola, alongside Honourable Justina Obadiah Nkom who was sworn in as a Special Adviser to the Governor.
The ceremony was officiated by the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Afraimu Jingi.
Governor Fintiri congratulated both appointees and expressed his confidence in their abilities to deliver on their new roles.
Gatugel, in his response, thanked the Governor for the appointment and pledged to use his experience as a unionist to support the government in achieving its goals.
Gatugel takes over from Musa Mahmud Kalamu who was elected as a member of the State House of Assembly.
