Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has become the first digitally registered member of the All Progressives Congress in the state, receiving his electronic membership card at the party’s secretariat in Maiduguri.
Zulum registered on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and was presented with the card by APC State Chairman Bello Ayuba after completing the process through his ward agent from Aiari Unit 003.
Deputy Governor Umar Usman Kadafur and APC Deputy National Chairman (North) Ali Bukar Dalori were also issued their digital membership cards.
“Strengthening internal democracy is key to stable democracy,” Zulum said, urging members to register on the e-platform.
“I believe Borno State can register more than two million people for the APC.”
Ayuba praised Zulum’s leadership and support, describing the exercise as a boost to credible party organisation.
Top party leaders and government officials attended the event, including Senate Chief Whip Mohammed Tahir Monguno and Senators Mohammed Ali Ndume and Kaka Shehu Lawan.
