Niger State Governor Umaru Bago, on Saturday, officially flagged off the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for the upcoming council elections scheduled for November 1, 2025.
Speaking at the rally in Minna, Governor Bago reaffirmed his administrationโs commitment to improving the welfare of citizens and urged voters to support APC candidates contesting for 25 chairmanship and 274 councillorship positions across the state.
โWe must work together to ensure APCโs victory in all councils. I pray for peaceful and successful elections,โ the governor said.
The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly and Director-General of the APC Campaign Council, Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, described the polls as a โlitmus test of the partyโs integrity and popularityโ, expressing confidence in APCโs success.
APC National Vice Chairman (North Central), Muโazu Bawa Rijau, who represented the National Chairman, said the partyโs achievements nationwide reflect its โchange mantraโ, urging residents to vote for APC candidates.
Minister of State for Agriculture, Sen. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, and former Deputy Governors Ahmed Musa Ibeto and Ahmed Muhammad Ketso also called on voters to support the ruling party for continued development.
The campaign climaxed with the presentation of APC flags to all chairmanship candidates, marking the official start of the local government election campaigns across Niger State.
