Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially presented the Staff of Office to Alhaji Ahmadu Saibaru as the first Emir of Maiha on Thursday.

Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Governor Fintiri emphasised that the creation of new emirates reflects his administration’s commitment to strengthening local governance, preserving cultural heritage, and enhancing security.

“I urge the new Emir to foster inclusivity, unity, and economic development within the emirate,” Governor Fintiri said.

Highlighting Maiha’s vast economic potential, the governor noted its strategic location for trade, rich agricultural resources, and renowned textile industry.

He assured continued collaboration between the traditional institution and government for sustained peace and progress.
