Governor Yahaya Shares Gombe’s Success Story With Jigawa State Officials

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State on Tuesday shared his administration’s success story with members of the Jigawa State counterpart and and top government officials during a two-day retreat in Gombe.

This was disclosed in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe.

Governor Yahaya highlighted key achievements such as the Network 11-100 road project, the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, and the Gombe Goes Green initiative.

He also emphasised the state’s improved ease of doing business ranking and the successful implementation of public service reforms, including the introduction of a biometric attendance system to enhance efficiency and accountability.

“In Gombe State, we have made significant strides in various sectors,” Governor Yahaya stated.

“These successes, including investment promotion, infrastructure development, and health sector transformation, could provide valuable lessons and inspirations for Jigawa State.”

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, expressed his appreciation for Gombe’s hospitality and praised the state’s rapid development.

“The theme of this retreat, ‘Ascending the Peak: Achieving Greater Jigawa Vision Through Innovation and Transformative Leadership,’ aims to deepen officials’ commitment to governance excellence,” Governor Namadi said.

“We believe that Gombe’s development trajectory serves as a valuable model for Jigawa.”

The retreat is expected to provide a platform for reorienting government officials towards greater synergy, efficiency, and impact in service delivery.
