The National Leadership of the Historical Society of Nigeria has recommended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for a prestigious honour award in recognition of his outstanding achievements and selfless service to the government and people of Adamawa State.
According to the National President of the Historical Society of Nigeria, Prof. Samuel Agalinu, Governor Fintiri has made the society proud with his exceptional leadership and numerous accomplishments, particularly in human and infrastructure development.
Prof. Agalinu, who led a delegation of executive members on a courtesy visit to the Governor, praised Fintiri’s swift approval of the N70,000 minimum wage, making him one of the first to implement the new wage structure.
The society commended the governor’s inclusive governance, peaceful leadership, and various infrastructure development projects in the state.
As the Historical Society of Nigeria prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary next year, it has deemed it fit to honour Governor Fintiri at the scheduled event in Abuja.
