Olowookere Temitope has been sentenced to six months imprisonment for internet fraud by Justice Mahmud Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court, sitting in Ilorin.

The conviction, which took place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, follows his prosecution by the Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Temitope was charged with one count of cheating by personation.

The charge detailed that between 2023 and 2024, in Offa, he impersonated “unsypathisch,” a verified streaming app, and induced a victim, “psychological wolf,” via his Discord account on Twitch, to send him $400 (Four Hundred Dollars) in gift cards.

“That you, Olowookere Temitope, did cheat by personation when you pretended to be Unsypathisch, a verified streaming app, and in that guise induced one psychological wolf, via your Discord account on Twitch, to send you the sum of $400 (four hundred dollars), which you did receive via gift cards,” the charge read.

The convict pleaded guilty to the charge. Prosecution counsel, Innocent Mbachie, presented the facts of the case, tendered the convict’s extra-judicial statements, and submitted $300 (three hundred United States dollars) recovered from him as evidence.
