Engr. Satomi Ahmad, the member representing the Jere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has launched a JAMB registration sponsorship program for 2,000 indigent students in his constituency.
The launch ceremony was held at the Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Hall of the Prime Lodge and Apartments on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing educational access and supporting young scholars, has been a consistent feature of Engr. Satomi Ahmad’s support for education in the constituency.
“This initiative is aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents and ensuring that our students have the opportunity to access higher education without barriers,” Engr. Satomi Ahmad stated at the launch ceremony.
“We are investing in their future because we believe education is the most powerful weapon for transforming our society.”
He further pledged to facilitate university admissions and award scholarships to students who achieve the required JAMB score.
Dr. Mala M. Kulloma, Education Secretary of Jere Local Government, commended Engr. Satomi Ahmad for his generous support.
He advised students to carefully consider their course combinations during the JAMB online registration process.
Engr. Satomi Ahmad also donated six brand-new laptops to six indigenous law students from Jere Federal Constituency who are set to commence their studies at the Law School.
The event brought together community leaders, educational stakeholders, and enthusiastic students who expressed gratitude for this life-changing opportunity.
