Kano Concludes Hajj Seat Sale, Registers 3,155 Pilgrims

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully concluded its 2025 Hajj seat sale, registering a total of 3,155 pilgrims, Director General Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa announced.

Speaking while receiving the management team of the Immigration Service at his office, he confirmed that all necessary arrangements are nearing completion.

“We have finalised the Hajj Induction Course, documentation, and the packing of hand luggage,” Alhaji Danbappa stated.

“We are now in the process of issuing visas to our registered pilgrims.”

He commended the Kano State Government, led by Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif, for its “continuous support” in ensuring a smooth Hajj operation.

“The government’s commitment has been instrumental in facilitating our preparations,” he added.

The newly appointed Controller of Immigration Services in charge of Malam Aminu Kano International Airport Command (MAKIA), Aisha Shehu Nda, emphasised the importance of collaboration during her visit to the Pilgrims Board.

“Our visit is aimed at strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders and enhancing the relationship between the Board and the Command,” she explained.

“Cooperation is crucial in managing migration-related matters, particularly during the Hajj operation.”

She expressed her appreciation for the warm reception from the Board and presented an award of excellence to the Director General as a gesture of recognition.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, assured the Immigration Command of the Board’s commitment to working closely with them to achieve shared objectives.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of the new Immigration Command at MAKIA.

“The establishment of the new Immigration Command at MAKIA is a timely and significant development,” Alhaji Lawan stated.

“We are committed to working hand in hand with them to ensure a seamless Hajj experience for our pilgrims.”

The Board confirmed that it is now focused on the final stages of visa processing and logistical preparations, ensuring that all pilgrims are well-prepared for their journey.
